Early on August 27, 2020, Hurricane Laura smashed into the Louisiana coastline making landfall in the small town of Cameron. A Category 4 storm with wind speeds topping 150 mph, Laura was the tenth-strongest hurricane in the U.S. and the effects across Louisiana were devastating. The storm continued north passing over Iowa, LA, home of Lacassine Operating Company (LOC), which specializes in blending, storing and mixing catalysts for oil and gas refineries from Corpus Christi, TX, to Metairie, LA.
