First Solar in Louisiana
BBP, a Louisiana-based automation solutions manufacturing company, announced it is expanding its Baton Rouge headquarters with the construction of a new facility to better accommodate growing customer demand for its products.
To facilitate an uniterrupted workflow and increase production capacity, the new facility will include a crane spanning the length of the facility, state-of-the-art automated valve assembly work cells, vertical warehousing, and a sensor assembly area.first half of 2026. The new facility will use First Solar’s proprietary process to transform sheets of glass into fully functioning solar panels - capable of generating clean electricity from sunlight - in approximately four and a half hours.
